An excerpt from EPNI's press conference this week in which we shared about all the plans, partners and grants we have lined up for the Roof Depot site. Plans to bring locally grown food, healing, jobs and other resources needed now more than ever.
In the midst of harvest season and purchase preparations, many of us at EPNI got together on Friday to ground into the current moment and set intentions for what’s to come.

It's time to solidify a fair deal for East Phillips. At the end of June, EPNI asked the city of Minneapolis to sell the Roof Depot site to East Phillips for $10.2 million, a price that reflects the unexpected loss of state funding earlier this year,
Here's a little bit more about one of the grants EPNI recently received to build outdoor farm infrastructure with recycled wood waste on top of the Roof Depot parking lot, and hire on some youth apprentices from the neighborhood! πŸͺ΅

Did you know the Roof Depot's basement has 30 ft tall ceilings? That’s one of many things we saw when we toured the interior almost two years ago, shortly after finalizing our purchase agreement with the City of Minneapolis.οΏ½

This past Seed Saturday we danced to Arcadian and Chino’s music while weeding in the hot humidity. It was a great turnout and the plants appreciated all the extra care. Thank you to all the volunteers who came to help ❀️

Attention East Phillips neighbors! EPNI has rain barrels to spare and we'd love to get them into community hands. 

These are a great and simple bit of infrastructure to have in your yard. The 50-gallon barrel collects rainwater to water your veggies
