Joi Latson

Farm Team Program Manager

Joi (she/her) was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and always had an interest in farming and agriculture even though she is a self proclaimed “city slicker”. She studied Global Resource Systems and Nutritional Science at Iowa State University and has a strong professional background in food security as well as international, rural, and urban agriculture.

Joi was first introduced to EPNI in the fall of 2024 through the herbalism workshop and has stayed involved because she believes in the mission of the East Phillips Neighborhood Institute.

She hopes to increase access to and knowledge about sustainable food systems and holistic wellness for all people, specifically marginalized populations.

Outside of EPNI, you can find Joi teaching yoga classes and hanging out in her garden with her two cats, Louie Pepperjack Cheese and Alfred Pennyworth.
